Spring Soccer

So I finally got our spring soccer pictures up. We really had a great time. The boys learned so much. Jaidon learned how not to get mad when he didn't get to kick the ball. And as my first experience as a coach I did pretty well.

My Holiday Memory

My plan for gifts this year is all homemade. I started making cookies and freezing them before Thanksgiving. So on Thursday I finishing them all up. I started baking and frosting at 8am. By the time I finished my part it was 5 o'clock. I was so tired my feet hurt just ready to pass out on the couch. But I wasn't done yet. It was time to bake sugar cookies with Elijah and Jaidon. They were so excited, they had been waiting all day to do this. They each had a rolling pin and rolled as hard as they could to make the dough flat. Elijah was really good at using the cookie cutters and making sure that each one was spaced out. Jaidon on the other hand just went to town stamping out the cookies. He had stars mixed in with trees, angels wings on Santa's foot. That's the great thing about cookies you can roll it out and start all over again. While the cookies where drying we all made french bread pizza. They were so excited to be "cooking for real". They spread the pizza sauce on the bread and put all there own toppings and on and Elijah put the pizzas in the oven. As they were cooking we looked out side and it had started to snow. The boys grabbed their coats and ran out side. Elijah showed Jaidon how to make a snow ball and hit mommy. (Jaidon thought it was so funny) We came back in ate our pizzas and got to decorating the cookies. We had a mess every where! I never said a word just let the boys decorate how ever they wanted to. I enjoyed just standing there watching them. It was so nice and peaceful that I didn't dare get my camera and ruin the moment. They helped each other and laughed together. Elijah told me this is the best time ever to which Jaidon replied "oh yeah it is". That time with them meant so much to me especially with William gone. We were just able to enjoy being together. I seem to get distracted when William is gone with all the little things that need to be done. But little things can wait my boys can not. I'll always cherish this memory.

Thanksgiving

At AWANA at our church they had a grand prix. The boys had to build their own cars and paint them they could only weigh 5oz. So they had to add weights and be very presics so their car would go down the track the fastest. They did such a great job. Thanks to big Joe for helping Elijah get it all together and weighed out. It was Elijah and Joes first year and Joe got 5th and Elijah got 6th out of about34 so pretty good!!!! Next year will be amazing!!!!

Elijah's 9th Birthday

We did a soccer theme for Elijah's birthday. I made the cake. Not only did it look good it tasted great.

Brennon and Josh entertained us by singing songs by Pink. You can tell who has older sisters.

The table was a little big Elijah really had to reach to blow out his candles. Maybe that means he got an extra wish?

But Big Daddy's always there to help when he needs it.

So many good presents he could hardly contain his happiness.

But was shortly interrupted by burps and armpit fart.
I guess when that happens you know you had a great 9 year old birthday party.

Halloween and Election day

It was such a beautiful day in Tennessee on election day. My mom, Elijah, Joe and his mom Ginny stayed at the polls all day. When Joe and Elijah got home they were so dirty from playing outside.

Joe was teaching Jaidon how to be a sign twerler. He looked pretty cute in his batman mask twerling a Joe Carr sign. But it worked all out people won!! Good job boys.

Halloween was a lot of fun. Elijah was off camping with all the men in our family, but Joe was nice enough to help us take Jaidon trick or treating.
We stopped at Bubba's house to get some candy. He had some pretty spooky stuff out front. There's a dead guy driving that car.

In the end Jaidon got cheated out of candy. We only took him to a few places. But he's only three so his hand full of candy was just enough for him. Poor buddy next year he'll have Elijah to show him how it is really done.

What boy's do outside

Elijah and Jaidon were helping Sugie (my mom) plant roses. Well they got distracted by some worms. They loved picking them up putting under the dirt. Jaidon got mad when they wouldn't eat the grass he gave them. And Elijah like seeing them move after he cut them in half. I think we did manage to let 6 go free. RIP to the ones who didn't make it.

William's 10 year class reunion

William has now been out of high school for a whole decade. We had such a good weekend in Hamburg Arkansas. On Friday the high school football game. Then on Saturday a family picnic and that night dinner and a dance. William really enjoyed seeing all of his classmates and teachers. They all made me feel like I went to school with them. We can't wait to go back and next summer and see everyone again.

We had so much fun at the dinner. Maybe a little too much fun.

Williams Birthday at the Chattanooga Aquarium

The Chattanooga aquarium was so beautiful. In parts of it you feel like your in the ocean.

When we were there they had a penguin special exhibit. They were so cute and would come right up to the window and look at you.

My sister Paige's favorite part was the butterfly room. This butterfly would not get off her hand. She finally had to flick it off so we could leave.

The sting rays were fun to pet but they were mating so we had to be careful. Apparently during mating season they get mean so some of them had cuts and marks all over them.

Outside they have a large place for kids to play in a man made creek and people playing music and doing art projects. Elijah and Jaidon liked the music the best.

Elijah's a Natural at Soccor

This was Elijah's first season of soccor. He absolutly loved playing. His best friend Joe was on his team and other friends from church. We played on a church league so they didn't keep score but all us parents did. We won about half our games. Elijah assited in scoreing a goal, and blocked a goal when he was goalie. Way to go Elijah man!!

William was so wonderful planning everything for us. We had such a wonderful time seeing Ka, Phantom, David Cooperfield. Thanks Baby for such a wonderful trip.

We had too much fun at the wax musuem.

Last Days in Dubai

We have had such an amazing time here in Dubai. We will miss it very much. So we tried to make our last days count as much as possible. Elijah is digging up crabs at the beach.

We will miss baby Dane so much. We love you Toni ,Greg, Dane, and Jaxson!!!

But he did manage to catch some crabs.

Our last date night in Dubai. Great food shesha and of course great company.

Our friend Salam how always gave us good deals on bags and watches. I will really miss him and his shop.

Elijah helps at the Mickey Mouse Magic Show

When we were at the Mickey Mouse Magic show Elijah was pulled up on to stage. He was asked to help with a magic trick. The guy gave him a sheet of paper and told him to tear it, but as soon as Elijah tore it he said be sure not to tear it all the way. Elijah had a very confused face. Then he told Elijah to tear the sheet into many little pieces and ball it up into a tight ball. All the while the guy was doing this to his own sheet of paper and pretending not to pay attention to how Elijah was doing it. Then the guy said now lets open our hands up. When the guy opened his up it was a hat and he put it on Elijah's head. When Elijah opened his hands up it was just bits of paper. The guy said now put the hat on my head. So Elijah put one piece of paper on his head. The guy laughed and said well maybe I sould make my directions clearer. Elijah loved it he was so proud of himself for getting up there. We were really proud of him too.

We went to the Mickey Mouse Magic show Live. It was so much fun. The boys absolutely loved it. Here is the opening number.

This is Jasmine being lifted in the air by Magic. You cant see very good but the guy doing it is in the air behind her.
One of the helpers went in to the cage.
But Donald Duck was the one to come out.

Jaidon tried to make some magic of his own.
He almost had it here. You can see the little swirl of magic.

Elijah was pulled up on staged and helped with his own magic act.

And the finally!!! It was such a good show. I think William and I might have enjoyed it more than the boys. Well almost.

Jaidon and the Gun

Today Jaidon decided to play adventure,what the adventure was I'm not sure. He was really into it though, calling over the walkie talkie, looking in his binoculars, shooting something out the window. He was in his own play world. Then all of the sudden the gun broke and Elijah got mad(because it was his gun). Jaidon knew he was in trouble and turned to Elijah and said " don't tell daddy tell mommy". Then Jaidon comes rushing into the kitchen going "mommy mommy I broke Elijah's gun" all the time rubbing my leg. "But it will be ok right mommy" he said still rubbing my leg and smiling really big at me. Then he hears Elijah telling Daddy that Jaidon had broke his gun. He looked up at me with his eyes all big and said oh no, and took off running into the living room. With his hands behind his back he stares at William thinking he is really in trouble. Lucky for him William heard him say don't tell Daddy tell Mommy and he was quite tickled with that statement. He let Jaidon go with an apology to Elijah . Jaidon took of running going right back to his adventure.

Elijah the Paleontologist

Elijah is digging to find a Woolly Mammoth
He really liked digging for bones.
He said he wants to do more because he likes doing things that make him use his brain.
He had to dust off the bones to make sure they were really bones.

He cleaned them off and laid them all out. Then realized there was one bone missing.
So he went and dug up the other bone and started putting the Woolly Mammoth together.
Half way done.
And it is complete.
He has real potential here.

I cant remember her name but she came and played with us for a long time. She was so nice.

girlfriends all so nice and just came right up to us and started talking and wanted to play with us.

This was the most complex jungle gym I had seen for kids this age but Elijah loved it and finished it very proudly.

Jaidon just wanted to jump. He was watching what everyone else was doing with his hands in his pocket just jumping away.

The beach here is so nice it feels like a private beach but it isn't.

Here we are at Children's City a science and discovery museum. That's Elijah making a body print. His arms look so long.
William hates snakes so he was really surprised to find this one under the rock. Thank goodness it was fake.

These satalites were about 15ft from each other and when we talked into them we could hear each other really well, Because (here is the lesson) sound waves. Oh yeah go mom and dad doing school in a fun way.

Jaidon is learning how to be a safe driver. Elijah is ready for his turn.
